Cookies & Tears

So, Kindred Spirit Sweets has received a wonderful response from everyone this Holiday season! I am overwhelmed by the kind things people are saying about my cookies. Orders are coming in much faster than expected, and this is where the tears come in...

I was so close to tears last night. I couldn't tell you if it was happiness that I'm doing better than expected, fear that I will never get everything done and shipped in time, or both mixed together. I had a moment last night where you stop, look around, and almost pass out because there are one too many things to think about.

I know, waaa right? I'm not complaining, I just don't handle stress as well as most people. I need to vent. I'm that person you know who gets that blank, wild eyed look on their face, and you have to give them a good shake and bring them back to earth. That is my husband's job, and he is great at it. He stays calm in the midst of my stress storms. He puts me in the shower, makes me a cup of tea or a cup of ice cream, talks me down and then I'm good to go. He's been doing it for years.

So, back to the sea of snowmen, christmas trees, and puppies in sweaters that is my world right now. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and Kindred Spirit Sweets this Christmas!!

Featured Cookies

I wanted to share the fact that my 'Stylish Snowmen' cookies are featured in the Holiday Parties & Decorating Gift Guide on Etsy.com. The lists are curated by the Etsy staff. There are so many beautiful, fun, and HANDMADE items on Etsy, that I am very proud to have one of my cookies featured.

Old Movies & Cookies

I have been baking up a storm the past few days, trying to get orders of cookies and candies ready for Thanksgiving. Cookies decorated as turkeys, pumpkins, apples, and Fall leaves. I keep old movies on TCM playing in the background, as I busy myself decorating cookies. They keep me relaxed, when days like this can be so hectic. Maybe because life seemed a little more simple, and most of the time there is a happy ending. My husband rolls his eyes when he comes in and sees the black and white screen, he thinks I'm silly. Whatever, I love my old movies and cookies. =)
